Meet Anthony
Your West Side Advocate
My name is Anthony Loubet, and I am your Representative in House District 27. This includes parts of West Jordan, Kearns, West Valley City, Magna, and Copperton.
Over the past three years, I have sponsored and passed legislation to increase transparency in our state government, help make life more affordable for everyday working families, and protect the elderly and disabled.
I am proud to work across party lines to get things done for our neighbors. I have received support from organizations and people on both sides of the aisle, which is increasingly rare today. I remain true to West Side values and believe strongly in putting our community first.

Like many of our neighbors, I was raised on values of humility, resilience, and service to others—values that I am proud to instill in my own children.
My father was an immigrant from Mazatlán, Mexico, who built our family home in Moorpark, California, through sweat equity as part of a non-profit housing program.
As a young adult, I worked several odd jobs, including pest control, financial planning, tax preparation, and investment services, all while taking college courses at night.
After much hard work, I earned my associate's degree and later my bachelor's degree in business management. I later earned my law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. While in law school, I served as president of the Student Bar Association, class president, managing editor of a public law journal, and lead editor of an education law journal.
Previously, I served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for a Utah-based company supporting the needs of adults with intellectual disabilities. Prior to that, I served as the senior policy advisor for the Salt Lake County Council. I also served as Deputy County Attorney in the civil division for Utah County, where I helped the Board of County Commissioners draft and amend county ordinances and negotiate sensible contracts among cities, government entities, and businesses.
Now, I run my own private practice in West Valley City, where my wife, Kira, and I are raising our six children.
